The Seattle Chapter has been busy so far this year. To date we’ve put on several seminars and courses, including two All Day Residential seminars. In addition, the chapter has hosted two Residential Roundtables, with two more scheduled for 2019. Our January dinner meeting was well attended, despite the “Seattle Squeeze” that everyone was worried about, as was our April “Treat Your Associates dinner.”
We have two more dinner meetings scheduled for the year – I encourage you to attend. Our Program Committee is lining up a great speaker for the September meeting and the November Past President and Installation of Officers dinner meeting is always fun – it’s a great opportunity to socialize with friends and colleagues, new and old.
The Appraisal Institute’s Annual Conference took place in place in Denver, CO from July 22nd through July 26th. Next year’s conference is scheduled for early August in Orlando, Florida. The conference is always a great opportunity to mingle with appraisers from all over the country and take some great education. And Orlando is a great place to bring the family. I encourage you all to attend.
The Seattle chapter’s Annual Fall Conference is earlier than usual this year and will take place on September 27th. Please make a note in your calendar – the Fall Conference committee is hard at work on what promises to be our best conference yet.
I encourage each and every one of you to volunteer at some level within the Chapter. No volunteer task is too small and the rewards of service are immeasurable. I look forward to seeing you at a seminar, a class, a meeting or the Fall Conference.
