Instructor: Mary Roy, Manager – Argus Support, Newmark Knight Frank

Mary Roy joined Newmark Knight Frank in 2017 and currently serves as a manager supporting Argus software and other internal software solutions in the company’s Houston, Texas office. In addition to software support, Mrs. Roy also travels to the various Newmark Knight Frank office locations and performs Argus training for the V&A team. Mrs. Roy joined Newmark Knight Frank after working at ARGUS Software for twenty years. While at ARGUS Software, Mrs. Roy held several different positions including client support, training, marketing and consulting services. Throughout her tenure at ARGUS Software Mrs. Roy has worked with many real estate clients on numerous ARGUS solutions. Mrs. Roy graduated from Texas Tech University, where she earned a Bachelor of Business degree.


Course Description

The ARGUS Enterprise Overview class will take the students through the ARGUS Enterprise (AE) Software. Students will have the opportunity to work on their laptops and follow along with the course instructor as they walk through the various data input screens of AE. Students will also be given a course guide to use during the class and to take with them for future questions. By the end of training students will be able to create an ARGUS Enterprise file and know how to locate, print and export the required reports.

Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to:
‐ Discuss the differences between the AE database structure and the DCF flat filestructure
‐ Discuss the functionality of using Portfolios and Scenarios in ARGUS Enterprise
‐ Discuss the ability to assign Permissions to Portfolios and Scenarios
‐ Discuss importing and export files within AE
‐ Creating new views in AE
‐ Discuss the reports and input screens and how to toggle between the two views when working in AE
‐ Walk through all the data input tabs in AE so users understand how and where data is entered
‐ Discuss the differences between user interface of AE and DCF
‐ Discuss running, printing and exporting reports in AE
‐ Compare AE reports and DCF reports
‐ Understanding the different Report Options available in AE
‐ Creating and using Report Packages in AE
‐ Discuss running, printing and exporting reports in AE
‐ Compare AE reports and DCF reports
‐ Understanding the different Report Options available in AE
‐ Creating and using Report Packages in AE

Required Material

Wi-fi enabled laptop installed with Argus Enterprise software.

Attendance Requirements

100% attendance is required for all Appraisal Institute education programs. This follows Appraiser Qualifications Board minimum criteria requirements. A “classroom hour” is defined as 50 minutes out of each 60 minute segment. A 10-minute break per hour is allowed and a student would still meet the 100% attendance requirement. Students should not be late or leave early; if they are late or leave early, they will not receive credit.

One hour lunch + breaks, Lunch break will be between 12:00pm and 1:00pm. Lunch is not included.
