This one-day update course, copyrighted by The Appraisal Foundation, focuses on recent changes to USPAP requirements for ethical behavior and competent performance by appraisers. The course, which clarifies several commonly misunderstood aspects of USPAP, will aid appraisers in all areas of appraisal practice seeking updated competency in USPAP, including those subject to state licensing or certification and continuing education requirements imposed by professional organizations, client groups, or employers.

NOTE: An appraiser must successfully complete the 7-hour USPAP Update Course every two years to meet the USPAP continuing education requirement.

The appraiser can take the 15-hour USPAP course, but it will only count for hours toward his or her state’s continuing education requirement; the 15-hour program will not meet the USPAP continuing education requirement.

× Course price does not include a copy of the 2016-17 USPAP.
Attendees MUST bring their own copy of the USPAP to class in order to attend.

Certificate Policy

Certificates for national programs are processed and distributed by the national office rather than the chapter office and can take up to two weeks. Should you need a certificate expedited, please fill out the certificate form on the national website and notify the chapter office prior to the start of class so they can coordinate with the national office. It can take 3-5 business days from submission of the form until receipt of the certificate, so please schedule your request accordingly.

Attendance Requirements

100% attendance is required for all Appraisal Institute education programs. This follows Appraiser Qualifications Board minimum criteria requirements. A “classroom hour” is defined as 50 minutes out of each 60 minute segment. A 10-minute break per hour is allowed and a student would still meet the 100% attendance requirement. Students should not be late or leave early; if they are late or leave early, they will not receive credit.
